Does VTCC enable a US Marine Commission?
The current candidate for Lt Governor in CO, George Washington Markert, is a retired Marine O-6 who has a BS Political Science degree from VT and was commissioned in 1993. I don't know if he was in the VTCC but will find out if I get to meet him. We now live in Erie CO. He lives in nearby Broomfield.

Very much enjoy the update & your effort to compile; and I follow you for just that reason.
I had no idea that so many Hokies were getting $ for playing BB.
Gavin Cross has been struggling to get past AAA for several years.
Trivia: the first Hokie I remember playing MLB was Leo Burke; while at "VPI" in the 50s, he played all 3 major sports.

She is the only Hokie ALL AMERICAN I ever shook hands with years ago at a VT wrestling match. At the time, she was still a VT coach & ladies had completed game vs UNC & the ladies stop by to see conclusion of the wrestling match…,Hokies won both events
I may never wash my hands again (tic of course)

Great picture of the crowd's close proximity to the field
which is far better than you get at any MLB ballpark.
As a kid, I was often bat boy, even for VT when they visited VMI or W&L in Lexington. Red Laird was coach back in those days but my rationale was. I could see the game action up close & personal without having to look through a chain link fence or screen.

I couldn't remember Glover's name but I saw him
win his Southern Conference title at the conference championship held in the 1950s at W&L University, Doremus Gymnasium.
There was a raffle for all ticket holder for the 3 day event in which I won a case of beer. Being that I was only 11-12 yrs old, "they" swapped it for a 6 pack of 7-Ups. I have been a Hokie wrestling fan ever since.

Was yesterday Ground-hog Day for MBB?
David Cunningham’s article is probably very well done, as usual. I just couldn’t read it to be reminded of VT MBB Groundhog Day, one last time. I personally like this team and think the team is much better than their record and I like Coach Mike Young for VT. I don't know enough or have the $ to say he should be fired or retained, but am thinking if he can retain the right players & add from the portal, CMY might be the best option for next season.
Concerning the lead-in picture which I did look at, I feel bad for Bedford. I have botched a few of those myself. But couldn’t help but notice at the nano-second the pic was taken, Tobi Lawal was “more elevated” than Bedford (which means nothing) & Gurdak was in a good position, but on his tip-toes (as usual). I hope Gurdak comes back after a good off-season of workouts....maybe Tai Chi walking?
